Arel's Rich Media Training & Conferencing Platform

Arel's infrastructure platform is the heart of the Arel Spotlight suite. This infrastructure consists of a scaleable, secure, and network-friendly software platform. It has been architected to deliver synchronized, real-time voice, video and data communication over converged IP networks. Arel's servers provide seamless interoperability with satellite-based corporate network infrastructures with an IP terrestrial return or 2 way IP VSAT system, existing video conferencing endpoints and MCUs (H.323), IP endpoints (SIP), Public Services Telephone Networks (PSTN) and while providing strong content, data and application sharing capabilities.

Arel's technology platform is designed to be an integral component of a company's overall IT strategy for deploying real-time IP communications. Arel’s innovative technology gives companies the ability to utilize the existing IP network and infrastructure while preserving prior investments in legacy video and voice systems. Arel's platform complies with existing security policies and infrastructures (such as proxy servers and firewalls).

Desktop:

• Arel Spotlight – desktop- With the Arel Spotlight desktop solution, live sessions become highly intuitive and effective, as video and rich interactive content are delivered directly to the desktop, at the office, at home or on the road. Arel Spotlight is a scalable application that combines quality multi-point video with two-way audio and data transfer to enable live delivery at any desktop connected to the Internet or enterprise Intranet. Arel Spotlight offers live collaboration tools such as application sharing, whiteboard annotations, discussion groups, chat and guided browsing.

• Arel Spotlight On-Demand– desktop-
  
  Learn at your own pace - Arel Spotlight On-Demand extends the benefits of live delivery, enabling asynchronous transmission of highly interactive self-paced sessions to increase the versatility and flexibility of the Arel’s ICP-based solution. Advanced recording of live sessions ensure the delivery of synchronized high quality video and rich content, maintaining the indexing and interaction of content such as questions and tests. Interaction which occurred during the live session is recorded including chat sessions, keeping all the content and social parts of the session. Attendance, performance and grades are sent over the network during the participation in the recorded session for traceability and evaluation purposes. Full off-line and CD-ROM publishing of the sessions are available.

• Arel single student VCOD (Virtual classroom On-Demand) - In some cases customers would like to have a single student solution directly to the desktop like the spotlight but with full size video for high quality video and in application that full screen is required. Arel has a unique application for such requirement. All operation will be with the keyboard and mouse with some pop-up windows

• Classroom IDL: - Operating mostly over satellite network (Analog/digital or IP one way with an IP terrestrial return path or full 2 way VSAT IP network, the VirtualClass brings the classroom to the participants, reducing training costs and enabling real-time interactivity and just-in-time distribution of mission-critical knowledge. While live video and media-rich content is displayed on a TV monitor, each remote VirtualClass site is equipped with a controller that manages audio and data interaction for the multiple Interactive Response Units (IRUs) for any number of student in the classroom.

• Site based keypads: - Operating over any type of broadband network, VirtualClass brings the classroom to the participants, reducing training costs and enabling real-time interactivity and just-in-time distribution of mission-critical knowledge. While live video and media-rich content is displayed on a TV monitor, each remote VirtualClass site is equipped with a PC-based controller that manages audio and data interaction for the Interactive Response Units (IRUs).

Arel VirtualClass On-Demand extends the benefits of live delivery, enabling asynchronous transmission of highly interactive self-paced sessions to increase the versatility and flexibility of the VirtualClass solution.

Arel VirtualClass On-Demand enables on-demand viewing of the session exactly the way it was presented during a live session. That means that our recorded sessions preserve the original full screen video quality. Arel enables the editing of the program if necessary, and the capability to reply to quizzes, tests and surveys.

The on-demand sessions are stored locally, at each remote site’s Classroom Control Unit (CCU) or on any 3rd party catch engine, and can be displayed on a video monitor or TV screen.

Participants viewing a recorded program can ask a live verbal question from an assigned responder using Arel’s unique Subject Matter Expert functionality — directly from their keypad — and get an immediate voice mail response or receive a voice file attached to an email.

Arel VirtualClass On-Demand captures the participant responses to questions, quizzes, surveys and tests, automatically grading and aggregating the results. The performance and attendance records are logged back into the main database and are available for analysis and reporting along with the data of those who participated during live programs.

Arel VirtualClass On-Demand works seamlessly with Arel’s CDN (Content Distribution Network) software, enabling the distribution of on-demand programs to the local CCU at the remote sites.
