• Leading the real-time videoconferencing over converged networks - Arel is highly focused on providing rich media and video-oriented communications, and aims at providing participants with the best possible experience the network connection allows. Arel supports several low-latency video distribution sub-systems, with solutions ranging from near-broadcast MPEG 1-2 quality for satellite and broadband multicast networks, through mid-quality unicast or multicast video for intranets and fast internet users and all the way to internet-type video, or audio-only for dial-up users. All these video types may be provided to different users participating in the same session, based on available bandwidth and network type.
• Narrowband video capabilities - H.261, H.263, H.263+, H.264 and narrowband proprietary video CODECs are used to offer an optimal combined audio and video stream starting as low as 15 kbps. Audio quality is maintained by the use of multiple audio CODECs, such as G.723.1, G.729a, G.711, GSM, for different bandwidth ranges (4kbps - 18kbps), advanced silence detection, acoustic echo cancellation, proprietary dynamic delay jitter buffer and networking protocol optimization.
• Video-conferencing interoperability based on H.323 -Arel offers built-in compatibility with H.323 based systems currently installed in many cases within conferencing rooms in organizations. Arel's conferencing solution enhances existing video-conferencing installations and provides a total cost-effective conferencing solution by reaching a much wider number of remote or small offices, and desktops or laptops all over the organization or with external contacts. This helps utilize the existing investments in equipment and networks of leading conferencing vendors.
