Manageability
- Central configuration management - Management of all server components of the system is centrally controlled from the database to facilitate simple and dynamic changes to optimally operate the system.
- Immediate remote control over clients and servers - A Network Management application (NMS) is available to view server and client status and to set parameters, along with restart, upgrade, check connectivity (including telephony lines where relevant), get files (like log files) and many more actions.
- System components status web view - A web interface in the Application Server enables viewing all server information about sessions they currently handle, connected clients and very in-depth info on all components (clients and servers) including CPU load, memory use, number of connected clients of each type, available disk space and much more. A vitality signs view allows for quick understanding of full network status and fast problem finding with tools to solve them.
- Reporting capabilities - Arel offers out-of-the-box functionality of reporting related to participant and site information, participation and performance, tests and grades. Over forty different reports are available and easy creation of customized reports is available.
- Management of users - An administrator can manage and create user types. All user types have specific authorization levels. All administrative and technical management assignments are protected behind these login mechanisms.
- Management of attendees and registration over the net - Registration of new participants and their information, the groups they belong to (or organizational structure), the site they administratively report to, and courses they are registered to or that are available to them can be managed from multiple remote locations by administrators.
- Management of Conferences and courses over the net - The system allows for Conference and course related administration to be handled from multiple remote locations rather than a central application. This is crucial for large distributed implementations and is part of Arel Campus. Operations targeted at course administrators, course builders and presenters allow for adding and editing lessons, tracks and scheduling, and reference material etc.
- Integration with leading HR, LDAP, and LMS databases -Arel offers built in integration with leading databases that manage employee or student details, registration, content etc. An XML based API and table import/export mechanisms allow for out-of-the-box seamless integration with any additional product, portal, CRM and LDAP supported systems.
- Web services architecture - Arel's integrated conferencing platform was designed in conjunction with a variety of web services to provide a set of messaging protocols, programming interfaces, and network registration and discovery facilities that expose all business functions and logic to authorized parties. Information can be shared, configured and monitored with a simple standard XML based API. Arel's web services suite shortens substantially any integration with existing CRM and ERP systems.
