Security
- SSL Web Security - ICP server technology uses SSL (including 128 bit) for protecting transmissions from unwanted eavesdropping. By default, an SSL encryption mechanism provides security for log-in information as well as data related to content and participants. The security mechanism protects usernames and passwords in order to prevent uninvited users from gaining access to important content.
- Content encryption - ICP encrypts content that is downloaded to clients.
- Authorization management - The ICP subscriber database stores User Types such as Participant, Presenter, Administrator, etc. The User Type determines what tasks a user is authorized to perform. Protected activities are locked by username and password. User management allows for the careful assigning of authority on a per-system or per-event basis so that security of data is maintained by enabling the relevant data to the relevant people in an organization.
- Audio and Video security - ICP provides an option for SSL3 128 bit encryption and authentication of Voice & Video over IP.
- Protection of key components - the data base that is the 'heart' of the system is completely protected behind the firewall, only external components that may be multiplied and load balanced are partially exposed with only few ports open in DMZ.
